Two already?!
Yes Folks, it has in fact been two years since Ra graced us with his presence! We never knew how fast time could just tick away. Our not-so-little one has grown so much since we last wrote. He is approximately 35lbs. and over 3 feet tall. He wears a size 6 in clothing and 11.5 in shoes. We are in the process of potty training, as I write this, and Ra has successfully made it to the bathroom on two occasions. YAY!!! Underoos...here we come! He can also count to five by himself (and to 10 along with someone) and recite his colors and shapes. He knows all the parts of his face and most of his body parts and he can make you laugh on your worst day. He now wants to be more autonomous, so he attempts to put his own clothes on (except for his shirts and socks...although he tries). We thought that we would attempt to start his locs, but decided against it because he is way too fond of the sandbox and I wish I would pick grains of sand from his newly forming locs on a daily basis! So, we have decided to postpone that transistion until he is able to handle less boisterous sandbox play...thus the reason for his cropped do. I don't think RaKhem minds at all because it has been quite hot these past few weeks, so the less hair, the merrier!!! He looks cute no matter what...am I wrong?
Not to change the subject or anything, but do we have a doctor in the house? I think we do. Everyone, I think that congratulations are in order for Dr. Talib Hasan Johnson. He has successfully passed his dissertation defense (which was held on 7.12.07) and will be turning in his final draft next Friday. I am so proud of him (and I know that despite Ra's inability to say dissertation, he is just as proud of his daddy's efforts and HARD work over the past 6 years). Please join me in congratulating him on this extraordinary acheivement!!! CONGRATULATIONS, Dr. Johnson!!!
Until next time...
Peace & Luv,
