What a (little) man!!!

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter holiday…can you believe that we are almost into summer already? This year has flown by way too quickly. RaKhem has grown by leaps and bounds since we last wrote. He is now past the 3 foot mark (as far as height), wears 5T clothing and 10.5 shoes (and he won’t be 2 until July, folks). I have people coming up to me asking if he is 3 or 4…come on now! He talks up a storm and sings songs at the drop of a hat. Currently, his favorite song is “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” He is a BIG fan of Play with Me Sesame…Elmo is his homie! He has also taken a liking to Sponge Bob Squarepants even though we don’t watch it. Everything yellow IS Sponge Bob:).

Despite his size and “old soul”, he is still our baby! He still tries to throw temper tantrums when he doesn’t get his way. He is very adept at telling us no. We have been trying to encourage him to say yes and he outright refuses. He loves baths and loooong conversations with his older brother, Amaru (the dog).

Despite my denial about my baby growing up, the ugly truth is that Ra is no longer a baby. He has become our smart, inquisitive and handsome little boy (and I am kinda sad about that). He was supposed to stay smaller longer. I will get over it, but it is just so amazing to me that he is growing so quickly. He can feed himself with a fork and spoon. He can color. He can scale anything he puts his mind to...including people and he gives hugs and kisses when you are down (as if he knows what is going on). We are definitely looking forward to watching RaKhem blossom in the upcoming years and we hope that you take the ride with us.
